Роскосмос: Технического сбоя при возвращении с орбиты «Союза» не было

В ведомстве пояснили, что систему информирования космонавтов отключили намеренно

Руководитель Роскосмоса Владимир Поповкин опроверг слова космонавта Виноградова, заявившего, что при возвращении на Землю у космического корабля "Союз ТМА-08М" отказали датчики, из-за чего космонавтам пришлось лететь буквально "на ощупь". Глава ведомства пояснил, что накладок при посадке не было, а систему информирования космонавтов отключили намеренно.

 

- Они не вслепую садились. Там просто произошло наложение в программе одной даты на другую. Для того чтобы не кусками (информация) была на экране, мы приняли решение ее отключить. Мы знали об этом заранее. До посадки экипаж отработал эту программу, -сказал он, добавив что о проблеме знали заранее, а экипаж видел то, что посадка проходит штатно.

 

- Космонавты просто информационно не знали, куда летят, но по другим параметрам видели, что садятся штатно. Это просто информационная вещь, которая нужна, чтобы видеть карту, - цитирует агентство Интерфакс заявление Поповкина.

Ранее космонавты, прибывшие  на Землю с Международной космической станции,раскрыли некоторые подробности своего возвращения. Выяснилось, что на этот раз не обошлось без ЧП - им пришлось лететь вслепую.

Напомним, накануне в Казахстане приземлился спускаемый аппарат космического корабля «Союз ТМА-08М». На Землю вернулись российские космонавты Павел Виноградов, Александр Мисуркин и американский астронавт Кристофер Кэссиди. Экипаж закончил свою продолжавшуюся полгода вахту на Международной космической станции.

На смену им на МКС отправятся россияне Олег Котов и Сергей Рязанский, а также американец Майкл Скотт Хопкинс. До прибытия новой космической экспедиции, старт которой запланирован на 26 сентября, на МКС остается интернациональный экипаж в составе российского космонавта Фёдора Юрчихина, европейского астронавта Луки Пармитано и американского астронавта Карен Найберг.

Rumor: Nokia Lumia 1520 to Launch on AT&T In November

Yesterday, the prolific Twitter leaker mentioned that the purported Nokia Lumia 1520 might see the daylight on September 26. However, this is probably the announcement date of the Lumia 1520, not the date when it will hit the shelves.

A new rumor is suggesting that the device will go on sale in the U.S. in November on AT&T. The news comes from WPCentral, who are a trusted source when it comes to Windows Phone. The blog also posts a number of specifications for the purported Nokia Lumia 1520.

 

Nokia Lumia 1520 is expected to feature a 6-inch Full HD display sporting 1080p resolution, a quad-core Snadpragon 800 SoC, 32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, a massive 3,400 mAh battery and 20MP PureView camera with dual-shot capabilities — which is the ability to capture images with 16-MP and 5-MP modes simultaneously. On the software side, Nokia Lumia 1520 will come with Windows Phone 8 GDR3 and Bittersweet Shimmer (Nokia software) out of the box, which has been leaked in great detail in the past as well.

An availability date of early-November makes sense, as the roll out of GDR3 didn’t even start yet and the GDR2 update hasn’t finished rolling out completely on the current iteration. Samsung says its next-gen smartphones will have 64-bit processors too

Samsung's mobile business head JK Shin has said that the company's next smartphones will feature a 64-bit CPU, according to the Korea Times. The remarks follows Apple's launch of the iPhone 5s, the first handset with the 64-bit, billion transistor A7 processor and 64-bit OS 7. Saying that Samsung is aware of Apple's ambitions in China, the exec added that a device with such a chip would come "not in the shortest time," but that "our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing capability." They could use the ARMv8 64-bit architecture that ARM has been promoting for quite awhile now, since Samsung is a prominent licensee. Does that mean a Galaxy S 5 flagship will become the Korean company's first to use the tech? Cue the rumors and speculation.

iPhone 5S failing to enthuse UK consumers

Only a third of UK iPhone owners are planning to upgrade to Apple’s new iPhone 5S handset when it’s released later this month.

A poll of 1,000 UK adults undertaken by Usurv, the online survey company, found that just 31 per cent of current iPhone owners want the new iPhone 5S as opposed to 44 per cent that last year indicated they would be upgrading to the iPhone 5.

"The fact that a significant slice of people had been put off buying an iPhone in the past could suggest that Apple might be able to tap in to a wider market with the lower priced iPhone 5C. However it's difficult to say whether the price is actually low enough and how operators will price it in their contracts,” said Guy Potter, director and market researcher at Usurv.

Owners of devices manufactured by other companies were particularly averse to the new device with just six per cent of Samsung Galaxy owners admitting they want to upgrade to the new iPhone 5S. It’s a similar case with customers of Nokia [nine per cent], HTC [11 per cent], and BlackBerry [13 per cent].

 When it came to the new features the fingerprint reader was most appealing with 30 per cent of respondents calling it the feature that appealed to them most with the other new features polling between two per cent and nine per cent. The highest number of all, 40 per cent, stated that none of the new features appealed to them.

“Of the new features, only the fingerprint reader seems to have caught people's attention. The brand is under pressure to deliver excitement and innovation at every launch and this time the initial mood indicates that in that sense it has failed,” Potter added.

The iPhone 5C, the affordable handset released by Apple, may fare better with a large number of respondents answering that in the past the iPhone price had put them off. Nokia owners were the largest number to be put off by price with 59 per cent admitting this was the case, 44 per cent of HTC and BlackBerry owners were discouraged by the price as well as 40 per cent of iPhone owners and 39 per cent of Samsung Galaxy owners.

Apple released its new handsets at twin launch events earlier this week in California and Beijing. UK iPhone 5C pre-orders kick off on 13 September with general availability for that, and the iPhone 5S, set for 20 September.

NASA: "Вояджер-1" окончательно покинул пределы Солнечной системы

 

Космический зонд "Вояджер-1", запущенный NASA в 1977г., окончательно покинул пределы Солнечной системы. Об этом официально объявили в NASA.

Двумя неделями ранее с таким сенсационным заявлением выступили ученые из Мэрилендского университета, которые проанализировали созданную ими же модель. Исследователи установили, что зонд вступил в пределы межзвездного пространства еще в июле 2012г., но в NASA не могли подтвердить эту информацию.

Теперь же, изучив данные гравитационных сдвигов, магнитного поля и солнечных частиц, сотрудники NASA подтвердили результаты коллег из университета.

"Вояджер-1" покинул пределы гелиосферы в марте 2013г., однако этого было недостаточно, чтобы выйти за пределы нашей Солнечной системы: спутник попал в переходную зону, называемую "гелиопауза", которая является последней транзитной ступенью на пути к межзвездному пространству.

"Вояджер-1" - автоматический зонд весом 723 килограмма. Был запущен для исследования Солнечной системы и ее окрестностей 5 сентября 1977г. Он был первым космическим аппаратом, сделавшим снимки Юпитера и Сатурна. На борту зонда закреплена золотая пластина, где для инопланетян указано местонахождение Земли, а также записан ряд изображений и звуков.
